Horizon Environmental Ltd. have signed a 3 year contract with Dublin Bus to provide Drain Cleaning at all depots, garages and adminsitration offices. The contract will run from December 2009 to November 2012.
Horizon Environmental completed the cleaning and surveying of 11km of surface water drains on the Arklow By-Pass. This work was carried out for Arup on behalf of the National Roads Authority.
Under the Waste Management (Collection Permit) (Amendment) Regulations 2008, Horizon Environmental has attained Permit Register Reference Number: WCP-DC-08-1148-01. This permit replaces all existing local authority permits, and covers all local authorities in the Republic of Ireland.

Due to continued expansion, Horizon Environmental has created two divsions within the company. This will streamline our operations giving the best possible service to our customers.
Drain Maintenance Division:
This Division is responsible for CCTV Drain Surveys, Pipe Lining, Pipe and Manhole Rehabilitation, Grease Trap Installation, Lateral Cutting.
Waste Management Division:
This Division is responsible for Liquid Waste, Sludges, Tank Cleaning, Oil & Chemical Spill Response, Contaminated Soils, Hazardous Waste, Tankering Services, Oil Interceptor Cleaning, Septic Tank and Grease Trap Cleaning.
Horizon Environmental have been formally recommended by Dublin City Council as a Grease Trap Waste contractor. We aim to provide a quality of service to meet our valued customers needs aswell as fullfilling Dublin City Councils reqirements for maitenance of Grease Traps. Dublin City Councils new initiative is to greatly improve the quality of discharged sewer water from pubs, restauarants, hotels, take-aways etc.
Horizon Environmental have successfully completed the cleaning of 4000m of foul and surface water sewers the CCTV survey of 6000m of same for IDA Waterford.
Horizon Environmental carried out the cleaning and cctv drainage survey of the main combined stone sewer culvert on Shop St. and Quay St. for Galway City Council. Horizon's experienced team handled the 100 year old culvert with complete care, as well as the late night Christmas party revellers!!
Horizon Environmental is exicted to announce that a new depot has been opened in Sligo dedicated to serving The West in drain cleaning and liquid waste managment.
The Sligo depot provides a service to Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Leitrim, Donegal, in drain cleaning, CCTV drain surveys, tank cleaning, septic tank emptying, oil interceptors and silt traps, and grease traps. We also have a dedicated team involved in hazardous waste management.
Twelve members of staff from Horizon Environmental participated in The Use and Code of Practice of High Pressure Water Jetting.
Horizon Environmental have successfully completed the CCTV Drainage Survey of Bandon, Co. Cork. The survey entailed CCTV, Drain Cleaning, Topographical and Manhole of approximately 27km of sewer network.

Horizon Environmental have purchased our second new Water Recycling Combined Jetting and Vacuum Tanker. The Kroll Unit has a vacuum pump capacity 2.075m3/h at 400mbar and a high pressure water jetting pump at 473 litres/min at 175 bar. This unit conserves water by the use of a unique Water Reclamation System.
This vechicle has the ability to clean any sewer or pipeline up to culvert size. The water recycling system conserves valuable water resources and reduces time and fuel used.
